A bit of exciting news on the ol’ writing front. At the end of last year, I wrote a flash fiction piece for one of Crystal Lake Publishing’s monthly Patreon contests. The theme that month was “Graveyard,” and by some stroke of luck I managed to share 1st place. I was super pumped at the time (and still am), but the cool bit now is that the winners and other “top vote receiving” stories from these contests occasionally get collected into a CLP’s Shallow Waters Flash Fiction Anthologies.
Well, you guessed it, my 1st place story, “Second Chance,” is now published in an ebook anthology available on Amazon. In the grand scheme of things (hopefully), this will likely not mean a whole lot, but right now it’s my first ever published work of fiction and I’m really excited/proud. I’m allowed to be, right? With everything else in this world a disaster, I’ll take it. Hopefully it’s the first step in a long road.
Anyway, that’s my news. If you’re so inclined, check it out. Only 99c for a collection of some pretty wicked flash stories.
